Press Reviews:
New York Magazine, Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld
Every night, $37 buys a different cut of prime aged beef, including rib chops (Saturday) or porterhouse (Wednesday). Share a $5 side and a starter or salad. Add two glasses of red. Now even the young hunters crowding the taproom up front can afford to linger for dinner.

 New York Sun, Paul Adams
"(Patricia Yeo) brings her playful pan-Asian sensibility to Monkey Bar, insofar as the constraints of the place's traditions allow."

 New York Magazine, Peter Landau
Monkey light fixtures, monkeys crawling over the elaborate wallpaper.... Great ape! The simian theme even extends to the drink menu, which offers drinks like the Monkey Bar Banana Split. Back in your grandparents' day, this swank lounge hosted risqué singers and scandalous entertainment. Then it fell into disrepair, for years barely surviving as a sanctuary for intrepid slurrealists. Now, renovated and priced out of most drinkers' pocketbooks, it endures mainly as a luxurious distraction—or as a sure bet to impress dates with a soft spot for primates.
